The Great American Solar Eclipse of 2017 Planetarium Show

By Glastonbury Planetarium (other events)

2 Dates Through Aug 21, 2017

ABOUT ABOUT

On August 21, 2017, millions of people across the United States will see nature's most wondrous spectacle - a total eclipse of the Sun. It is a scene of unimaginable beauty; the Moon completely blocks the Sun, daytime becomes a deep twilight, and the Sun's corona shimmers in the darkened sky. This show will give you all the information you need to prepare for the event and entertain you with ancient eclipse lore that has been passed down for ages. Where will you be?

Doors open at 11:30 a.m.

More Information

You can also purchase your tickets at the door via a credit card.  We are not able to handle cash transactions. Doors open 30 minutes before the show.  Seating is on a first-come basis.  No late arrivals! We cannot admit guests after show has started. Please arrive on time.

Our planetariums shows are open to all ages but here are some things to consider.  Matinee shows are usually geared for kids 7 and under.  Evening shows are generally geared for ages 8 and up, lasting anywhere from 60 - 90 minutes.  Weather and time permitting we will include telescope viewing.  Dress appropriately for the weather.  The Cosmic Concert Music Series shows are definitely best suited for young adults and adults.  All guests should be comfortable with sitting in the dark for an extended period of time.  We want everyone to have a great time and be inspired by the awesomeness of the universe.
